Meet the Team

Trent Madill
CEO, Founder
Trent has lived and breathed entrepreneurship and finance from a young age, which includes launching and working for several start-ups, most notably Scholars of Finance, as well as working at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
At Scholars of Finance, Trent served as Chief of Staff to the CEO and as a Product Manager, where he helped facilitate $1.2+ million in donations and accelerated membership growth by more than 350%.
Trent graduated from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in just two and a half years and currently holds his Series 65 license as an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR).
Trent’s personal mission is to close the gender, racial, and socioeconomic gaps that exist when it comes to investing, all of which Atticus is on track to do.
Mia Gradelski
COO
Mia is a 3rd-year student at NYU concentrating in FinTech and entrepreneurship. In her senior year of HS, she worked as a product management and trading desk intern at Liquidnet and this past summer she worked at Visa as a client consultant.
As a female in this macho-dominated space, Mia has always had a deep mission for breaking the gender gap and to destigmatize financial literacy. She believes it is the most vital skill one can learn and sadly isn’t emphasized enough in the higher-education system.
She is a former Morning Brew and Forte Foundation campus ambassador, a GenZFinancial mentee, and currently a personal finance advocate and blogger of BoiledNotFried.
Through Atticus, Mia believes money management should be learned by all earlier than later. Everyone deserves to have the economic security to live a financially free and flexible lifestyle.
Liam Hennessy
CIO
Liam has been working in the field of economics and financial markets since the age of 16, starting out trading pink sheets while he ran his high school investment club. Following his time at Minnespolis’s DeLaSalle he went on to study finance at the Univerity of Minnesota Duluth’s Labovitz School of Business and Economics, where he is now a senior and in his final semester.
After first seeing “The Big Short” at the age of 15, Liam found himself engulfed by the mystery that is monetary economics. His article “The Case for Deflation” is his first publication on the subject.
Prior to joining Atticus, Liam spent his time teaching new investors the basics of derivatives and how to manage complex investment strategies using these products. He now, along with managing the investment strategy at Atticus, hosts the Money Markets and Macro podcast, where you can find new episodes every Monday.
Liam’s mission is bringing to light the dark and complex world of global monetary economics so that each and every investor has the right set of tools to navigate the world of finance.
